Working with customers
Flows
Guided conversations with buttons, questions, conditions and AI steps, drawn on a canvas.
Open Build → Flows and click New flow. Start from the example menu or an empty canvas.
Steps
- Message — sends text. Add up to 10 buttons; each button gets its own path. The tapped button is saved as
{{choice}}. Connect Anything else to handle other replies. - Question — asks something and saves the answer in a variable (for example
email). Choose the expected answer — text, email, phone or number — and the customer is asked again if it doesn't fit. - Condition — goes to Yes or No depending on an answer (is, contains, is answered, more/less than) or the channel.
- Save lead — saves
name, emailandphoneanswers as a lead; other answers go in the notes. - AI answers — ends the flow and lets the AI reply, with an optional instruction such as “Recommend a plan for {{team_size}} people”.
- Hand to team — ends the flow and passes the chat to your team (optionally a specific team).
- API call — runs one of your actions (your API, an integration or an MCP tool), saves fields of the answer into variables and continues on OK or Failed. See Actions.
Drag from the dot on the right of a step to another step to connect them. Use {{name}} and any saved answer in your texts.
When a flow starts
- Keywords — when the customer's message contains one of them, like
menuororder status. - When a new chat starts — on the customer's first message; anything you send before an AI step is shown above the AI's answer.
Pick channels to limit a flow to, for example, WhatsApp only.
On WhatsApp and other apps
Buttons show as a numbered list. Customers can reply with the number or the words.
Never stuck
Typing stop leaves a flow. A reply that isn't one of the buttons goes to the AI (unless you connected Anything else), and two invalid answers to a question hand over to the AI too. Flow steps use no AI credits.
